UAE's national flag carrier Emirates, currently, holds the title for offering the world's longest flight on a commercial airliner. The non-stop flight from Dubai to Auckland (New Zealand) is a daily scheduled flight with a duration of 17 hours and 15 minutes! The total distance covered is 8,823 miles (14,326 kilometres).
This record-holder commercial flight was inaugurated just days ago, on March 2016, when an Emirates Airbus A380 flew all the way from Dubai to Auckland. However, the regular flight will be operated by a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft—an aircraft named Worldliner, because it can connect any two destinations in the world without needing to stop for a refuel.

Previous Record-Holders For Longest Flights
1. Singapore Airlines (Newark - Singapore)

The flight from Newark to Singapore was 18 hours and 30 minutes long, operated by an Airbus 340-500 aircraft. This flight was discontinued in October 2012. However, Singapore Airlines plans to relaunch this route with its new Airbus A350-900 planes.
2. Singapore Airlines (Los Angeles - Singapore)
With a flight duration of 18 hours, it was the second-longest non-stop flight in the world.
3. Delta Airlines (Mumbai - Atlanta)
The flight with 17 hours and 55 minutes of on-air time was discontinued in October 2009.
